At Spay Our Satos, we raise donations to sponsor the spaying/neutering of animals in need. There is roughly 1 stray dog or cat per 2 people on the island of Puerto Rico. These strays endure daily suffering whether it’s from hunger, abuse, disease, or critical and fatal injuries. In addition to the strays reproducing, household pets are reproducing in most households as well. Veterinary clinics and financial resources are both limited in many areas of PR. Our mission at SOS is to make these resources more available to the public so that together we can spay both neighborhood strays and low income family pets. There are not enough rescues or homes on the island to make a dent in the number of unwanted litters being born each day, so supporting spay initiatives is the most efficient way to make a difference!
